On May 11th, 2006, I opened my first Kismet in a small space on 32nd and Meade Street. Almost 14 years later, there it sits, newly transformed with a brand refresh and now named Luna and Jasper, offering fun, unique, casual clothing, accessories, and, of course, jewelry. Kismet’s other location is in the Lowry Town Center and it’s going strong in it’s 9th year.
In March of 2017, I decided to open Kismet's sister store, True, at the Stanley Marketplace in Aurora, CO. I call True "a holistic boutique" because, in addition to offering beautiful clothing, jewelry and accessories, we also have a curated section of books on wellness and a selection of body care products.
We have also started an ongoing series called Women's Wellness Wednesdays, Self Care Saturdays and Tarot Tuesdays which are intimate workshops on topics that range from energy healing and tapping into your own intuition to how to reduce the stress and anxiety that pop up in everyday life. The goal of True is to offer our clients a way to adorn themselves not only from the outside in, but also the inside out.
When we get dressed in the morning and we are comfortable in our clothes, that helps us get through the day and, when we incorporate self care wellness routines, that also helps. I know these things have helped me and I want to be able to offer this support to the women of Denver.
In 2018, I had the good fortune of opening a second True in Lohi to meet the needs of the community. This store location is moving soon, location to be announced.
The mission of Kismet and True is to inspire happiness in our staff, our customers, our vendors and our community while offering the highest quality products at reasonable prices.
I am thankful for the last 12 years and for the little store that started in the Highlands. On behalf of myself and my team, we look forward to connecting with you.
