We had a lovely customer at our Lowry location recently who is a pharmaceutical sales rep, so she spends a lot of her days in her car and outside, moving from one appointment to the next. She expressed her woes of having absolutely nothing to wear that is all-at-once work appropriate, stylish, comfortable and warm.
As with anything during the fall/winter season, the key is in the layering. A few tips I passed along to her (and now to you!): Wearing a tank, like a Nikibiki Jersey one, underneath a throw-on-and-go sweater dress will provide not only extra support, but added warmth. Swapping tights for leggings; M. Rena “Tummy Tuck” leggings will do the trick. Getting creative with accessories—why not wear a heavier scarf as a wrap instead to keep your shoulders cozy? My favorite trick is carrying my heels in a large tote bag and doing all the dirty work outside in Frye boots. They can withstand the elements much better than a dainty, patent leather pump and your feet won’t fall victim to frostbite.
If this what-to-wear dilemma rings all too true for you, come into Kismet this weekend and let us dress you for wintertime success! We promise--Monday will be SO much easier.
